Tarot Timings

Whenever I sit reading for my clients, the most questions asked are:

“When will I get married?”

“When will I go abroad?”

“When will I get a new job?”

“When will I have children?”

“When this…?”

“When that..?”

“When……?”

As a reader (most readers will probably agree!), I do not believe in setting a time stone for a question. Tarot or Oracle or any kind of divination is more for spiritual guidance for my life journey, rather than attaching a time to each step of this journey. We need to understand that Spirits and Guides, send us messages for our overall well-being and prosperity, yes, at the right time for us to know, but at the end of it all, we have the free-will to bring it to fruition! Destiny does play a role, but setting a time/date does not!

Lately, there have been too many questions around it, for sure we are am impatient generation and want every answer to the minute! A client even asked me once – “When will I get my salary this month?”. Boy – seemed like – Hey! am not the CEO of your company! Wouldn’t this be better answered by your boss? This is not what Tarot is for! Please excuse me!

Am always very careful when addressing a timing question in all my readings. And I know many readers have to go through this ordeal sometime or the other. Everyone has ways to address such questions which you learn through your experience.

I decided to put down what I do and if anyone can benefit from this – comment below and let me know. I would love to know your thoughts and experiences 🙂

For any of such “when” questions, I first ask my cards IF the event the client desires, is going to happen for their highest good. If I get a No, then I use my Oracle cards for guidance for my clients, so they can feel a positive vibration even if the event might not occur for them. Through different spreads and talking to my cards, I lay out a path for them which can propel them forward in their life journey. Its important they feel a positive feeling after the reading so they can move forward with joy and use their full potential!

However, if my cards do give a resounding YES for the event my client asks for, that’s when I use astrology and tarot together to get a fair timeline and guide my client. But given the fact that the timing is not set in stone and the client has free-will to change it if they want to! I also offer guidance on what they need to know for this event to take place and if they would need to handle any challenges or obstacles with guidance from their guides and what the cards say.

Here is a small note (broadly defined) for whoever wants to try 🙂 Am certainly not an Astrology expert, but this has worked for me in most instances. Again, see what works for you and makes sense for your reading and what other cards tell you. Intuition also plays a huge role – so ensure you listen to your intuition and your cards!

One theory associates as follows :

  • Suit of Wands (Fire) = Aries, Leo, Sagittarius | Days/Spring
    • Wands are fiery, action oriented, fierce, passionate, now and here calling for action
  • Suit of Swords (Air) = Gemini, Libra, Aquarius | Weeks/Autumn
    • Swords are mental actions, need to struggle with thoughts first before action can come in – so takes a bit of time
  • Suit of Cups (Water) = Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces | Months/Summer
    • Cups are emotions, need warmth and care, thinking through love and people around us before we bring in thoughts for action – so takes more time
  • Suit of Pentacles (Earth) = Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn | Years/Winter
    • Pentacles are about earthly pleasures, finances and all materials – takes careful planning and a life time to build it – takes the most time for fruition

Another theory of timing associates as follows:

  • Wands | Fire / Summer
  • Swords | Air / Spring
  • Cups | Water / Autumn
  • Pentacles | Earth /Winter

And the associated suit numbers take up the 10 days into the zodiac that suit symbolizes. So 3 of Wands is 10-20 days into Aries.

Many times, most readers (including me!) weave the timing within the question too. As in – “Will my client get a job in the next 6 months?” That can also give you an impression/indication of whats going to happen, if at all! So it also depends on the way you build your question for your client.

An interesting note – sometimes the speed of the Knight will itself tell you the speed of the event occurrence 🙂

There is an great article under Tarot Elements which talks about Tarot Timing using various methods including astrology and numerology and traditional methods. Its an interesting read.

Lastly, go through internet, you would find many correspondences. Nothing is white/black OR right/wrong here! See what feels most comfortable for you and which produces the most accurate results by your experience. You may be surprised at the accuracy of what the cards tell you!

Hope this helped someone! Have a great day 🙂
