Our Tarot decks, oracle decks or our crystals, whatever we have, are sacred. They absorb energy and are divination tools which need cleaning and charging. Its is very important we take care of them on a regular basis.
Below are some tips which I use, including most readers I know. Sharing for a reference.
Cleansing:
Place your card decks or your crystals in a plastic bag. Place this on a plate and cover with salt. Leave it for 1 day or 24 hours.
Plastic drains energy from the enclosed item and salt grounds the energy. This helps to cleanse the cards and the crystals of any previous energy they hold and moves it back to earth.
Its a good idea to wash your crystals under running water once every week. Some crystals are not meant to be in water, so ensure you know about your crystal properties.
Another great way is to burn some sage or insence and run the cards and crystals through the sacred smoke for some time. This also washes away any old energy stuck to your cards.
And now… they are ready for a recharge! 🔮
Charging:
Close your eyes and hold the deck or the crystal in your non-dominate hand. Have an intent to collect energy into the item for your highest good. This will infuse the item with your pure energy 💖💫
The more your hold the cards and the crystals, the more energy gets attached to them.
Another common way is to place your cards or your crystals under full moon overnight or under sunlight for 2-3 hours. This helps gather lots of energy and light into your cards and crystals. But be aware that some crystals loose colour in sunlight. So ensure you know about your crystals properties and how your crystal reacts.
That being said, its actually the holding and handling of your decks and crystals which activates their energy and gets it move effectively for its purpose.
