The Hanged Man

You have gone through multiple crisis in your life already. And after crisis, comes acceptance, The Hanged Man!

The Hanged Man has surrendered to the rhythms of life, it involves releasing the emotions that have been locked up for years.

Look carefully at the crossed legs, its a 4 upside down. It symbolizes the Earth with its 4 directions. By reversing his own sense of of values the Hanged Man has turned the world on its head. The arms and head together form a downward pointing water triangle – the way to the super-conscious is through the unconscious.

The Magician’s power drawn down by the wand has entered the Hanged Man; a circle of light about his head. The experience of feeling the spirit force within life is one of the great power and excitement in the midst of complete calm.

The Hanged Man feels life through inner awareness. He bears a message of independence. Being who you are, even if others think you have everything backwards. It symbolizes the feeling of being deeply connected to life, a feeling of peace which comes after some difficult trial.

The reversed card indicates an inability to get free of social pressure. Instead of listening to our inner selves, we do what others expect or demand of us. It also means fighting your inner self. A person who is in denial of the basic part of himself and cannot accept reality and keeps battling life. This person never experiences life due to the ego they feed.

None of us can know the full meaning of being alive until we surrender to the tree of the world, and let life’s root go deep into sea of experiences.
